Example of use

The following example consists of extracts from various kinds of real text, including personal correspondence, business memos and magazine articles. (The last sentence of all comes, in fact, from Mark Twain's "Tom Sawyer".)

Of course such a short example is bound to appear rather contrived, but you might like to read through it at your normal proof-reading speed, and note what problems you spot.
