An agreement with Langsoft, a London-based software house specialising in natural language software, gives Prospero the rights to develop and market Langsoft's products.
The first products, Reader and Parser are already available:
Reader provides reports on any kind of document from a
simple letter to a long technical treatise. More than a spelling checker, Reader
undertakes a complete grammatical analysis of the text, and will comment on
incorrect usage or style as well as simple typographical and spelling errors. It
incorporates a very large dictionary, with American as well as British usage and
colloquial words.
Parser uses the same
state-of-the-art technology to provide an automatic part-of-speech tagger.
