Running Prospero Fortran 2.1 for OS/2 under OS/2 Warp

The Workbench makes reference to a file DOSCALLS.LIB which is supplied as part of OS/2 version 1.x to resolve references to OS/2 functions. This file may not be present in some OS/2 version 2.x, in particular Warp, in which case one of the files DOSCALLS.LIB or DOSCALL1.LIB should allow references to be resolved correctly. However, it must be emphasised that neither of these files is the DOSCALLS.LIB supplied by IBM; they just allow the linking process to function correctly.

Because the name DOSCALLS.LIB is built into the Workbench, the file which serves the purpose must have the same name. Either copy the file called DOSCALLS.LIB from this disk into your workbench directory, or copy the file DOSCALL1.LIB renaming it as DOSCALLS.LIB. Check by compiling, linking and running a small program such as PRIME. It is possible that either of the supplied files will function correctly.

These files are available as a zip file (DOSCALLS.ZIP, ?? KB ).

Please note: While this should also work for Prospero Pascal 5.2 for OS/2, as we have yet to receive any reports of Pascal 5.2 users needing it, it has not been tested.
